Day 1 - April 30 (Sat)

  • Depart from Beijing at 13.00 flight JS 152 Terminal 2, Beijing Capital Airport
  • Arrive in Pyongyang at 16.00 (Pyongyang time)

  • Hotel check in
  • Welcome Dinner: Yanggakdo Hotel

Overnight: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

Day 2 - May 1 (Sun) - International Workers' Day


  • Breakfast: Yanggakdo Hotel
  • Kumsusan Memorial Palace (where the body of Kim Il Sung lies in state)
  • Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery

  • Lunch: City Restaurant, Pyongyang
  • Mangyongdae Native House - Kim Il Sung's birthplace
  • Moranbong Park - see locals celebrate Workers' Day
  • Ride on Pyongyang Metro - the deepest in the world
  • Juche Tower - chance to go up the 150 metre tower (170 metres including the torch) that offers a panoramic view of Pyongyang.
  • Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum
  • Walk around the Taedong River
  • Kim Il Sung Square - Mass Dances
  • Dinner: Rungrado Restaurant

Day 3 - May 2 (Mon)


  • Breakfast: Yanggakdo Hotel
  • Depart to Panmunjom (the DMZ) by coach
  • 38th Parallel

  • Koryo Museum (Kaesong)
  • Concrete Wall - built by the South and only visible from the North. See one of the world's most important nature reserves as hardly any humans have stepped on the land dividing the Korean peninsula since 1953.
  • Tomb of King Kongmin
  • Drive back to Pyongyang
  • Workers' Party Monuments
  • Dinner: Chongryu Restaurant, Pyongyang

Day 4 - May 3 (Tue)

AM Caligraphy Class in North Korea

  • Breakfast: Yanggakdo Hotel
  • Drive to Mount Myohyang
  • International Friendship Exhibition Centre
  • Pohyon Temple


Korean Art Studio in Pyongyang


  • Lunch: Hyangsan Hotel
  • Drive back to Pyongyang
  • Korean Art Studio - where statues, paintings, carvings and manyforms of DPRK propaganda are produced
  • Korean Film Studio - settings where DPRK movies are filmed
  • Children's Palace / Middle School - see children's performance
  • Farewell Dinner: Duck BBQ Restaurant, Pyongyang

Day 5 - May 4 (Weds)


  • Breakfast: Yanggakdo Hotel
  • Train to Beijing


  • Stopover at Sinuiju train station bordering China
