Cycling in North Korea

by KTG

Dear all,

Below are some of our DPRK cycling routes. If interested in any of these please contact us for more information:

- Pyongyang - Nampo Youth Highway (30km): We ride on the road built by university students at the end of the 1990s.
- Mt. Kuwol area (10 km)
- Mt. Chilbo area (20km) - impressive views offered in this northern area of North Korea
- Mt. Paekdu area (45km) - the most sacred mountain for all Koreans
- Ryongtong temple - Pakyon Waterfall. This is located in the Kaesong area and the route is 25 km long.
- Kwangbok Street in Pyongyang (4km) - cycle through the capital of the DPRK

Helmets on and enjoy the ride!

Thanks!

Cycling tours in North Korea
by: Admin

Hi there,

We have different routes which are done within one day. Shorter routes, such as our Pyongyang 4 km bike ride take a lot less.

If you'd like to have extended bike tours we can combine several of the routes listed to make them last a few days, for example a morning ride in Pyongyang. After lunch we head to the outskirts of the city and start the 30 km route on the Youth Hero Highway from Pyongyang to Nampo. You can stay overnight there and then have another 10 km bike ride in the rural area of Mt. Kuwol.

So far we are offering one day extensions to standard tours but longer ones can be arranged upon requests.

Do please let us know if you may have any other questions.

Cheers,

Rayco
