DMZ North and South Korean Soldiers

DMZ North and South Korean soldiers seen in the picture above. Despite the signing of an armistice, there is no peace treaty. As a result the two sides are still technically at war.

Sporadic armed conflicts have taken place since 1953, though these have decreased in the past few years. North and South Korean soldiers take turns in entering theMilitary Armistice Commission building that runs on the concrete slab that divides the peninsula into two places with completely different political ideologies.
