Kim Jong Il

Kim Jong Il is currently the leader of the DPRK (North Korea). He is described by the western media as one of the most mysterious leaders in the world. Portraits, paintings and photos of him and his father, "The Great Leader" Kim Il Sung are almost omnipresent around the DPRK.

	Early Life (1942 -1960) - summary from birth to university life.
	Higher Education (1960 - 1964) - later to be known as "The Dear Leader", he attended the most prestigious university in the DPRK, named after his father, Kim Il Sung University.
	Involvement in politics (1964-1979) - this section describes his rise in the political ranks of the DPRK and the different roles each different stage involved.
	1980 - 1994 - from his establishment in the core of North Korean politics to his nomination as the successor of his father in 1994.
